Sharla Mohammed
Sharla Mohammed is an English Language teacher with over 15 years’ experience. She is based in Japan and has also taught in Europe and the Caribbean. Sharla is constantly researching new and innovative ways to effectively instruct her students. She is particularly interested in the intersection of technology and education in promoting learner autonomy. To this end, she decided to apply her teaching experience and training to the burgeoning world of online instruction. She offers her students a blended asynchronous and synchronous approach to language learning and GBC exam preparation.
Ejima Baker-Morales
Ejima Baker-Morales is an educator and artist with over 18 years of experience in classrooms and on the stages. As an educator, her philosophy is built upon her dedication to creating rigorous and engaging learning experiences by utilizing qualitative and quantitative data. She has a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University, a MA in Ethnomusicology from CUNY, and a PhD in Anthropology from the New School University. Ejima is dedicated to social justice, and believes in the power of education and the arts to change the world for the better.

I am a dedicated and result-driven individual with the primary focus of educating learners. As a Law graduate and qualified ESL teacher, I have more than 5 years of extensive experience in education, law & business studies. I am extremely passionate about education and always seek to develop minds. I tend to walk the extra mile for my students, tailoring their curriculum according to their needs and enabling them to reach their full potential. I always seek to create a welcoming, warm & interesting leaning environment.
Amruta Gaikwad
Hello! My name’s Amruta. I have been teaching the English language for over two years now. I received my CELTA certification from the college of Oxfordtefl, Barcelona and since then I have taught a multilingual group of students, including pre and upper intermediate learners. I always research and read more to gain an all-around understanding of my students. This quality always helps me develop a comfortable classroom environment to make the learning process impactful.
Tashmika Sewsunker
My name is Tash, a native English speaker, and English teacher from South Africa. I have a Masters in Psychology, and a TEFL (120hours) from ITTT. I have worked with a diverse group of ESL learners for many years. In my class, I make sure that learners feel heard and understood. I teach in a manner that encourages them to speak without the fear of making mistakes. I love helping others improve their English skills. Hello, my name is Wendy Thomas, and I am an educator and performance artist. I love learning about new cultures and traveling. My hobbies include reading manga, cooking and going to musicals. I have over seven years of English teaching experience. As someone who is also currently learning another language, I believe everyone is different and processes information in various ways. I love tailoring my class to fit people's needs and learning styles.
Jody Akal Gonzalez
Hello, my name is Jody and I’m a native English speaker from Trinidad and Tobago. After graduating from University, I moved to Mexico where I discovered my passion for teaching English. Wanting to widen my portfolio, I moved to Japan where I taught students at many levels including those preparing for EILTs.
I’m an outgoing and friendly person. After studying Spanish and Japanese, I can empathize with students who face challenges when learning a new language. As a teacher, I create an enjoyable environment that provides students with numerous opportunities to speak naturally. I look forward to seeing you in my class!
